Women gain as men lose jobs

Women are on the verge of outnumbering men in the workforce for the first time, a historic reversal caused by long-term changes in women's roles and massive job losses for men during this recession.
Women held 49.83% of the nation's 132 million jobs in June and they're gaining the vast majority of jobs in the few sectors of the economy that are growing, according to the most recent numbers available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
That's a record high for a measure that's been growing steadily for decades and accelerating during the recession. At the current pace, women will become a majority of workers in October or November.

An interesting thing to be aware of on these kinds of statements. While they are probably true, with the advent of feminism, one of the ways they knocked male students down and helped female students was to do a study on how boys and girls learned. The study showed that girls and boys learn in different ways. So, school teaching methods moved towards methods that make it easier for females to excel and at the same time making it harder for males to excel. I was part of a North America's father's/men's rights movement for quite a number of years and little details like this were made available to us.

My two cents:
Women, on average, still make less money than men when doing the same work (I believe it's still 77 cents or so to every man's dollar. Please help correct me if I'm wrong, as these stats are usually highly debated, and I wanna know the truth).
Also, there are more women than men in the U.S. (http://www.census.gov/prod/2003pubs/p20-544.pdf)
I don't think we should be worried. I think we're nearing actual equality.
