I would strongly suggest right clicking and selecting “properties”, for every link before going there, especially within a forum.

I'm not sure what I should be looking for in the properties. I am also using Chrome, and I am only given the option of inspecting the element, so I'm even more in the dark. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I don’t use Chrome, but I’ve looked just because I could not believe this vital facility was not there!

As far as I can see, click Element, then look at the lower left sub-window.

There should be a faint grey highlight on the current line of code.

For example, (if this forum does not play with it).

“‘<a title="15 Recipes for Your 4th of July Party" href="http://www.thedailymuse.com/social/15-recipes-for-your-4th-of-july-party/">a summer cocktail party</a>’”

The title is what you see.

The href is where you go.

The most recent versions of Firefox, Opera and Chrome all should (I think with default settings). Haven't tried IE, but it should also do this as long as you have the "status bar" enabled in view options.
