It is just a catapult with boxing glove on the end. Here is the basic idea behind the design https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuNfdv0yFTg. You will want to use nails instead of glue, rope instead of rubber bands, plywood or metal instead of Popsicle sticks, and you will want to to be a lot bigger.
