Hello,
I am having trouble with my Internet explorer. It is doing some very odd things.Sometimes it will completely close the page i am visiting for no reason or it will be very slow loading pages and when i say slow i mean very very very slow for eg i tried to google something and after 10 minutes of the page trying to load i gave up.I thought that it was perhaps the topic i was searching so i tried putting in random things to see if that made any difference but it didn't.Another problem i had was when i was on a forum and clicked on a link and nothing happened i tried to open a new tab and that wouldn't work either and it would let me access any options that are in my tools menu.i had to restart my computer.Just to let you know i have high speed Internet connection. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me with this problem.

Let me share this with you. I'm on my computer every day. And to keep moving close to the speed of cyberspace, I'm always deleting my tempt files. Sometimes more than twice an hour.
I found out by having it clear constantly, I'm able to download sites in less than 5 seconds.
I do have DSL. My OS is Windows 2000. And I have not had any problems in years.
One thing you need to look out for are those new toolbars everyone is putting out there.
I had to delete Yahoo latest toolbar. I wasn't able to copy and paste as good as I used to.

Hello,
I am having trouble with my Internet explorer.

There is the problem right there :P

Maybe you might have better luck with Firefox (it is ten thousand times better)

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

After you finish installing you might want to download these add-ons:

AdBlock Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1865/
IE Tab: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/

AdBlock will block every ad in your entire life, and if it misses one, you just right click and click adblock image, or adblock iframe.

Also with the IE Tab, some sites do not show well in Firefox (or some do not work period, like windows update... stupid Microsoft) so with that you can switch between Firefox and IE easily by clicking the little button in the bottom right.

Now, after you download Firefox and use it, if your internet is still going slow, it might be because you have spyware/adware on your computer.

I would install and run Spybot Search and Destroy, and Adaware:

Spybot S&D: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10401314.html?tag=lst-0-1
Adaware: http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10399602.html?tag=lst-0-1

After all of that, defragment your computer, Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter

If ALL of that does not work, then I do not know what to say... maybe your computer is beyond repair (because you installed IE 7 :D )

and do not for whatever reason, "upgrade" your windows media player to 11. Stay with 10!!! If you did already, *salutes your computer* :)
