I was wondering if anyone here had any idea how to pull a live streaming video off of a browser and save it as a video file? I would appreciate any and all help with this.
Thank you.

I'm not sure with IE, but with Firefox there are "add-ons" that do the job. I use one called Download Helper. Most of the videos will save as .flv (Flash Video) and you will need a separate Flash Video player or file converter, but those are available for download too. Actually, the latest version of Download Helper has a beta video converter, but I haven't tried it yet.

There is a program called CamStudio that will record any video and audio on your screen. It is a free program. You can download it here. http://www.download.com/CamStudio/3000-13633_4-10734470.html?tag=lst-2&cdlPid=10734471

I use SDP Downloader for MMS and HTTP Streaming. This is also a freeware program. ;)

If you don't mind all the "extras" that come with real player, it has a very nice download feature to capture and convert all streaming videos. Once you have the newest version of real player you should see an automatic icon appear at the upper right of your video once you mouse over the video. All you have to do is click this link, and it downloads the video for you.
Works fine for me. :thumbup

Keepvid is ok, though I wouldn't use it unless I was away from my home computer.
I think the best way to do it is to use Firefox with DownloadHelper, DownThemAll, etc. These programs also help with downloading large amounts of images and what have you (e.g., grabbing every picture from an imageboard thread.)
