When they are not bound they will swing awway with the impact, softening the blow a little.
With real hard blows the impact will be so forcefull that the swinging away will not have much effect

Yes. I love to have my balls bound when they're being beaten. My favorite is when I'm chained to something so I can't move, and then my nuts are pulled up and back between my legs and attached to a long tether anchored to the wall or ceiling.

I also have a two-inch with buckles that you can attach a lock to, but it has attachment straps for pulling or weights. I also have the metal split collar, which isn't really suitable for kicking but is great for punching, bonger beating or crushing.

And in this picture you can see an old favorite, elastic hairbands :) :)
The more the merrier--just stick with the ouch-free brand (meaning no metal clip--you provide your own 'ouch!')
So great for squeezing, slapping....hell, anything.

I like both, I find more damage is caused when bound! My GF prefers them to hang loose so she can feel the cords & stuff.
