A lot of the argument for circumcision comes from a psychological standpoint as well. Young boys should identify with the male role model in their life, so if daddy's circumcised and he's not, or vice-versa, the child can grow up feeling insecure and deformed.

Personally, I'm quite glad I got the cut and had it done as a child. Really, most women who like them intact have no qualms about the convertibles, but the same can't often be said in reverse. And yes, hygienically you can make the argument that as long as you clean it, it's fine, but regardless, throughout the day, it's going to get dirtier and it's going to take far more care to maintain. I am against child circumcision myself. But I believe that asking to have him/her banned is wrong. infant circumcision is highly disputed, and thus, the opinion he/she has shouldn't break terms of use.
