If you're talking about "bikers" as in Harleys, I'm one. My leathers are chaps and buckle in front. Bikers have no leathers over their crotches.

Racing leathers (ergo, crotch rocket riders) are different. But then you're talking about leather racing jackets, racing pants, etc., which is a different story.

No offence intended, I acknowledge that know almost nothing about bikes and leather riding gear. I just recall hearing that leathers provided some protection from cuts during an accident. My point about leather protection was general, rather than a reference to the ball area.

I have only been a pavilion passenger once. A school friend had been given a powerful machine for his sixteenth birthday.
After at least two hours practice, he called at my place and asked if a wanted a ride. Dressed in thin summer trousers and a short sleeve shirt, I sat on the back without a helmet.
After a hair-raising drive around the local streets, he turned on to one of those old death trap three-lane A roads (three lanes for both directions).

From personal experience, I do know that thick jeans give plenty of protection, especially from a squeeze.

i know what you mean and i can see how to some people me wearing leather trousers could seem like i am getting too much protection but although most leather trousers are thick and designed to protect bikers you can buy soft leather ones that are more for fashion purposes and like i have said i was srprised by the impact i had while being busted in my leather trousers but it still felt no different to being busted in just my underwear. i have been busted i jeans before and it has been hard to get the feeling i wanted so i can see where you are coming from.
