hey all, i've got a slight problem on my digital hands.
i've got some videos on my work computer
and i'd like to upload them to a site, download them at home, and then delete them from my work computer.

has anyone done this successfully? is megavideo good? megaporn? rapidshare? should i use a free host or is the difference in paying for it (i have 3 gigs of vids) going to make a substantial difference?

thanks for your help

Can't you just copy the files onto DVD and take them home??

If not, invest into a portable HDD. Either method will be quicker than uploading 3GB worth of material onto the net and taking them off again.

You can pick up a USB flash drive for 10 bucks from Amazon. Takes about 7 minutes to copy 4GB of files from my PC.

If any of the videos on your work computer contain material that you would prefer to keep private, I would also recommend that you overwrite the video folder with a free program called "Eraser", instead of just deleting using the Windows recycle bin, from which the files can easily be retrieved, even after emptying.

In the past two years I have never used the Windows recycle bin even once. I use the above program every day to erase all of my files and recommend it very much (don't use the first/last 2k overwrite option though, as this has damaged some people's computers on previous versions).
