I read in another source that they did not that to children but to young men, now I wonder, who did that? There was a woman in charge of doing that?
Who choose the men that should be *********? The castratrix? The women of the village?

Is that some sort of urban legend? I can see that info in a lot of websites but I can't find any source. And it differs from website to website, some says male infants, other says young men.
