My girlfriend and I just recently made a video but in the video our faces are shown a few different times and I stupidly turned the camera upside down for quite a while. The camera was a 8mp Droid Incredible and I was in immense pain at the time so I didnt realize it was upside down. I literally have never felt so much pain in my life. We made a board for her to trample my trapped package under her heels and barefeet. She crushed me for quite a while before we decided to make a video clip.. anyways..

Does anyone have the skills to blur out our faces and maybe figure out a way to flip the section of the video where I stupidly had the camera upside down? Are there any people on here who are known to be trustworthy? Maybe just cut that part out or something? She doesnt want her face in any videos just yet.. working on that..

Thank you in advance!

I dont have the software to blur faces, but I can cut and flip the section you want done. If you trust me enough to do this for you, please do let me know mate :)

This might sound unkind, but I just have to say it first:

Treat the first session as a rehearsal and shoot again.

I also think that masks look better than fuzzy faces.

Hi,

I have the skills ;). Just tell me how big is the file, I wouldn't like to edit a video of 1 GB. Also I hope it is a quicktime or avi format. If it is a long video it would be helpful to tell me when the faces are shown (for example in 3:26)

If you're happy for the times that faces are shown to just be cut out completely then you can do that and flip the upside down parts relatively easily on simple programs like Windows Movie Maker which might already be on your computer.

If you plan on continuing making videos then I think it's worth learning some simple editing so that you can do it as and when you need (also maybe worth downloading a different program for video editing).

I'm happy to teach, and I'm sure others would be as well.

I'm also happy to do it for you, but others already got here first :p

Well this isn't my first video, just my first on this camera. I recorded it on my HTC Droid Incredible. Also it seems the audio dropped. Maybe I will look into the software I have on my comp. I'm glad that I had a few volunteers though because chances ate I won't be able to do this correctly.

Avidemux (http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/) can fix the upside-down problem but not bluring
I usually use Adobe Prmiere to edit video which can blur things:)

Are your faces in the same place? If so it is easy to apply a blur layer over the video. It is harder if they are moving about a lot though.

On our video I just used a black and white filter as the blur wasnt good enough:

Also Alec, can't you post in a normal font like everyone else?

You can always just cut out the heads. Make sure that you cut out enough so that if you bend over or something, your head still remains out of the shot.

Yes, I could, and often do, use “normal” format, the same as many (not all) other users.
There is, unquestionably, nothing wrong with accepting the default.

I don’t use the extreme options, such as very pale colours or ginormous fonts, as I find these irritating.

I’m sorry that you don’t like the appearance of my posts, but please consider that many factors contribute to the appearance of this page on a particular setup.

When I post I try to use the available software to increase readability and add interest.

I also consider the frustration of those analysts and software engineers who bothered to design and code facilities that most ignore.

Will I conform to normality?
Will I stop making the effort?
Will I no long even bother checking for elementary spelling errors?
Will I apply normality to my sex life, and settle for just a missionary on Friday nights?
Do I even want to be like everyone else?
