Google as Proxy Hack
Despite the unseemly connotation we techno-nerds have earned for the word "hack", ths one is legit. Or, at least, legal.

um when does it work exactly, so would it bypass the membership passwords on BB sites?
Seems iffy, if you ask me. If it bypasses access codes and what-have-you, how can it be legal? (Unless it's legal the same way spyware is, insofar as there's no specific law.)
tried it and it dont work so that saves people worrying about the legality of it
It's not for bypassing password protection on sites (although it may work for some sites which allow Google to index their password protected content). It's for avoiding corporate and other firewalls which restrict what sites you are allowed to view.

For example, if your workplace doesn't let you access porn on your break (working for The Man can be SO tedious), you can get around the company's security system by translating femaledom.com from English to English. It should work on some, but not all, password-protected sites, like smack notes.
How can it be legal? Google is just providing a translation service, and it just happens that we can mis-use it. BWAH HA HA HA HA!!!

I think a simple robots.txt file should prevent any unwanted indexing.
As for getting into other sites for free, I wish I'd known about this when I worked in an office...
