Isn't this supposed to be a forum about ballbusting, not politics?

I'd rather spend my time in this forum on ballbusting.

I'm going to try hard to stay out of political discussions, but I must ask "One from the vaults," didn't you just imply that it is better to be a victim or ****, brutality, or murder rather than someone uses arms to defend him/herself.

Anyway, I'm going to try to escape these lofty and etherial political threads, and stick to more pleasant and less acrimonious subjects. You Canucks are far too strident and draconian for my thinking about the need to be nice to everyone, no matter how evil and murderous they might be.

I will make this my last thought on the matter, as I do agree that this forum isn't the place for such discussions.

I just wanted to point out that everyone carrying a weapon does not make for a safer society, and that is evidenced by the link I posted showing the diffferent levels of murder rates between countries.
I wasn't saying Canada was better, but merely refutting the claim that more guns = safer society.

And in closing, after having lived in several countries in the world, (including the US and the UK), I will say that Canada is far less draconian than the US.

Okay. For me, back to destroying some nuts!

No, I didn't. I implied that having my wallet taken is better than being killed. If you draw a gun on a group of armed assailants, you're probably going to die. If you give them what they want and/or run the fuck away, you're probably going to survive. Most gangs don't wander around thinking "hey, let's shoot some random guy;" people only get killed when something goes wrong, like an idiot with a Rambo complex thinking his gun makes him God.
