Hi all,

Are any community members based in the UK worried about Section 63 of the 2008 Justice and Immigration Act? It applies to possession of images which portray:

"7. An image falls within this subsection if it portrays, in an explicit and realistic way, any of the following—

(a)an act which threatens a person's life,

(b)an act which results, or is likely to result, in serious injury to a person's anus, breasts or genitals,

(c)an act which involves sexual interference with a human corpse, or

(d)a person performing an act of intercourse or oral sex with an animal (whether dead or alive),

and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real."

The full text is here, and it applies whether consent was given or not, and whether the act was staged or not. By my reading of this possession of ballbusting images or movies by someone based in the UK breaks this law, and I'm curious what you all think. Is there a way around it for UK-based community members?

Cheers,

Tom
