Spyware Level: EXTREMELY HIGH. ... ******* is spyware because it collects all information that passes through its communication platform. As ******* is a centralized communication platform, all communications have to go through *******'s official servers, where all of that information can potentially be recorded.Nov 23, 2017

lol, that’s ridiculous
edit:
this shitty and ironically shady site even lists chrome and steam as extremely high.
since it’s neocities it’s probably one dude writing these, and seems schizophrenic
Edit:
Ccleaner and Youtube “extremely high”. No words.
I haven’t even seen one on here that doesn’t say that

******* does not make its source code available
In order to protect the source code
******* confirms that it collects large amounts of sensitive user data
This data is necessary for the client to function. Voice chat, for example, requires your IP address. This isn't true just for *******, but for most VOIP software publicly available.
Logs of all of the other programs that are open on your computer
This is necessary in order for the "Playing" status to work, one of *******'s core features which separates it from other similar clients. This information is client-based, and isn't sent anywhere.
In its privacy policy[1], ******* has confirmed that if you opt in to this spyware feature, ******* will obtain an undisclosed amount of access to information obtained about you by the spyware platforms that you choose to sync with.
It needs the "undisclosed" information (username, other bits of code) in order to properly display your social media username on your profile.
******* contains a process logger

No, it isn't necessary for ******* to function, if they would just let clients host their own servers.

Why couldn't they make a "disable" switch?
It needs the "undisclosed" information (username, other bits of code) in order to properly display your social media username on your profile.
Or it could just not do that, and avoid being labelled spyware.
They're funded by several investors,
I WONDER WHO!!!
You honestly think a company that appears out of the middle of nowhere with millions of dollars in VC, and host servers for clients isn't too good to be true?
U.S laws.
Again, it could just let you host your own server and avoid being spyware. But it can't do that because it IS spyware.
