Most women distance themselves from feminism these days, with good reason. The article lays clear the political/power motivations and the way a few wily autocrats easily manipulated women and exploited them and hurt a lot of men just to gain power.

I see the same thing throughout feminist literature, and humanities dept's today.

I have an interest cos as I have said here a while ago, I was abused by women. I mention this because in ****/abuse literature there is a popular title called the courage to heal, which is known and warned against as being one of the most irresponsible and dangerous bits of exploitative junk around. You can google it and find plenty of info about repressed memory syndrome and the like.

The writers are lesbian feminists, and are now understandably very rich.

And what's really awful is so many people have been damaged, really vulnerable people, by things like this.

It's one thing to be comfortable, middle class and have these eccentric ideas. More power to you. But there are predators of every stripe and they really do hurt a lot of already hurting people. And profit wildly in the process.

So, while John is overreacting, I'd rather err on the side of caution, use some of Noam Chomsky's intellectual self defense, then I can see that feminists are politically motivated (we now have a women-only party in Australia for example) and actually put them into perspective. And realise that most women will eventually wise up to things that are obviously false, and just get on with their lives, and realise personal issues are just that, and need tobe healed and gotten over so one can live a fuller life.

I had 2 experiences. First was when I stupidly kneed a girlfriend in her groin: she held her crotch only a few seconds, then kneed me in the balls and I was on my knees for nearly 30 minutes. But second was I was helping a female friend open a rusted shut door: I was squatting she was standing behind me, my hand slipped while pulling and my elbow rammed her crotch and she went down moaning. So I can't be 100% sure

Interesting pics Kelsey. I like the first one thats a set of drawings and I'm intrigued by the text and wonder if you know what its saying, in English. Especially the text in the first pic, accompaning an arrow pointing at the girls crotch.

My Japanese is so-so but first pic arrow text is "'man' keri" or "man-kick". Second is to the effect of "You underestimate High School Girls, don't you". The sense might be closer to "don't underestimate high school girls".

I may be a complete idiot, as I am 'only a woman' but for the fucking life of me, I fail to see what the FUCK any of this has to do with women kicking women in the crotch. PLEASE explain THAT to me, PLEASE. This is NOT a political forum
