Well, as far as sendspace goes, from my experience file transfer rate is typically in the 20KB/Sec range. That's about 1/5 the speed of rapidshare (typically closer to 100KB/Sec) and nowhere near close to a typical pay site which can run as high as 600KB/Sec if you have the bandwidth on your end to receive that fast.
Of course rapidshare keeps their speed up by limiting the number of users online at once during peak times. Sendspace doesn't seem to do that. I don't have any experience with megarotic and megashare but I suspect similar constraints apply.
