I appreciate the feedback, Alec. As I've said before, folks like Poiu and Mythical are fantastic writers, so it took me a while to muster up the nerve to toss my hat into the ring. I'm glad that you liked it.

I agree that the end came rather abruptly - that marks the moment where I realized that I was getting a bit carried away with what had started as a short story. I've got a bit more that I trimmed off of the end, but I might try to turn that into a second installment
